This poster presents a large-scale multimodal workflow for studying difficult-to-handle brain cell types while preserving their functional state. Using the R3200 Platform and CellCage enclosures, researchers profile neurons, astrocytes, microglia, and neurospheres with linked imaging and transcriptomic readouts from the same cells. The platform supports assays such as phagocytosis, calcium signaling, neuron-astrocyte co-culture analysis, and controlled neurosphere growth in custom microenvironments. By avoiding harsh dissociation and enabling longitudinal observation, it captures physiologically relevant behaviors that standard workflows often lose. This approach creates a powerful framework for studying neurobiology and neurodegenerative disease mechanisms at single-cell resolution.
